With nearly 25 years' of leadership experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, Bill leverages his deep understanding of the global healthcare environment to drive strategic business decisions, accelerate performance, and inspire operational growth. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Bill has served as Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Counsel for various Fortune 500 companies, honing his expertise with regulatory law, medical products, compliance and sales. As an integral member of the acquisition teams during the Novartis/Chiron merger, the Medicis/LipoSonix acquisition and various other mergers and acquisitions, Bill is poised to lead the Company to achieve its exit goals. Presently, Bill serves on the board of WINGS, the Medical Technology Angels, as well as on several advisory boards for local med-tech startups. He is a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
KIMBERLeY A. LOREAN, VP SaleS & strategic alliances
Kimberley has enjoyed proven success at launching products and bringing them to market leadership positions in all surgical settings. She brings 20 years of experience in sales development and business development management, having led pharmaceutical and medical device companies' product launches and growing them to multi-millions in annual sales. An effective communicator and knoweldgeable sales expert, Kimberley oversees relationships with strategic partners, and is instrumental in developing and expanding relationships with potential acquirers and investors. In addition to sales, Kimberley has expertise in training surgeons, nurses and sales teams in the medical application of the devices. Throughout her career, Kimberley has developed and led sales teams to achieving market leading sales positions and growth.
JW Beard, MD, Founder
JW is a physician leader with over fifteen years’ experience with sedation capnography. As a practicing anesthesiologist, he founded Monitor Mask to reinvent standard respiratory devices for the procedural and safety requirements of modern practice. A graduate of Dartmouth, JW was selected to attend one of the most selective medical schools in the United States, UCSF, where he was also selected to undergo his residency in anesthesiology, JW later earned his MBA at the University of Tennessee. JW has led Monitor Mask from device design and production to FDA clearance, fundraising, global patent prosecution, team formation and sales. He continues to advise the company and is a valued member of the Board of Directors.
Tom Broetje, CPA, CONSULTING CFO
With three decades as a CFO and CPA, focusing on entrepreneurs and business founders, Tom is a seasoned financial professional who provides “been there” financial leadership. Tom is a seasoned financial executive with broad experience in startup ventures, strategic planning and forecasting. For the past 4 years, Tom has focused on business development in the Seattle area. He holds a accounting degree from the University of Washington, and is involved with Northshore Rotary, Seattle Executives, Northwest Entrepreneur Network and Cascadia Community College Foundation. When he is not working or volunteering, Tom enjoys traveling with his wife, playing golf and hiking.
ELIZABeTH CROSS NICHOL, MBA, DIRECTOR OF QUALITY and operations
With a background in management consulting, Elizabeth has successfully led corporate efforts related to growth, strategic and operational planning and restructuring in various fast-paced environments, including healthcare. At Monitor Mask, she is responsible for directing operations to ensure we get excellent devices into the hands of our sales team, so our clients can put them to use delivering the best in patient care. This means continuously improving our order-to-delivery supply chain management through partnering with manufacturing, logistics providers and distributors to ensure optimal service levels and regulatory program compliance is met. She serves as management representative in liasing with the FDA. Elizabeth has worked clinically and operationally with health care providers and has a masters in business and a bachelor in health sciences. She believes healthy lifestyles and early resuscitation management changes lives.
COLONEL GREGORY J. ALLEN, DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
Colonel Gregory J. Allen assists Monitor Mask with its government relationships and contracts. He received numerous awards and decorations during his 27 year military career. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, Col. Allen began his career with a regular Army commission in 1988. Following completion of the Ranger Orientation Program, he joined Special Forces in 1994. Thereafter, while serving as Active Duty Officer commanding a National Guard Special Forces, his company was attached to 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) during the initial invasion of Iraq in March 2003, where he served as a Special Operations Command and Control Element. In 2008, he was Battalion Commander of a battalion deployed to Joint Base Balad, Iraq. Upon redeployment, Colonel Allen was selected to serve as the G3 (Director of Operations), Joint Forces Headquarters, Washington Army National Guard and the Commander, Special Operations Detachment –PACOM. His career culminated with Colonel Allen serving as Chief of Staff for the Washington Army National Guard and the Brigade Commander of 96th Troop Command.
KEVIN BUSCHER, CENTRAL REGIONAL SALES DIRECTOR
With over 17 years of sales experience, Kevin’s strong leadership skills have led to a successful track record of over achieving results. Kevin provides broad, in-depth experience in management and team building, and has consistent outstanding record of exceeding personal and corporate sales objectives. Previously, he worked with start-up medical device lines promoting and marketing their surgical devices/products to key institutional/teaching hospitals in the Midwest. He contributed these skills to two start up corporations that were sold to Fortune 500 medical corporations.
VIRGINIA MAXWELL, JD, SPECIAL PROJECTS
With over 20 years experience working as a legal consultant to a variety of partnerships, Fortune 500 corporations, governmental entities and joint ventures, Virginia brings a unique skill set to assist Monitor Mask in evaluating strategies and opportunities. A graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law (UC Berkeley) in conjunction with Harvard Law School, Virginia assists with a variety of special projects and day-to-day needs of our growing company.
KELLY HSU, Special projects
A student at Seattle University, Kelly assists with investor relations, marketing materials and corporate presentations. As an aspiring attorney, Kelly also assists with paralegal projects.
