Monitor Mask’s CEO, Bill Waller, was honored with a leadership award from Life Science Washington, the life science trade association. Serving more than 500 members, Life Science Washington brings together research institutions, investors and innovators to grow the state’s life science economy, stimulating life science innovation, job creation and ecosystem vibrancy through engagement, collaboration, promotion, and advocacy. The award was presented at the annual Life Science Summit in Bellevue, Washington on October 26, 2018.
In May 2018, Monitor Mask was nominated by WINGS, The Washington Medical Technology Angels, to participate in the national MedTech Innovator Showcase. Monitor Mask was awarded complimentary registration to the Wilson Sonsini Medical Device Conference held in June 2018, in San Francisco.
Earlier in the year, the Keiretsu Forum Northwest announced that Monitor Mask placed second in its Most Valuable Company Competition at their International Spring Expo. The winners were selected by more than 400 investor members and guests who attended the event, and were among the hand-picked emerging startups from throughout the U.S. and Canada who presented at the Expo. Many Keiretsu members were impressed by Monitor Mask’s progress with obtaining 11 issued patents and commencing volume production of life-saving medical devices. We are especially proud to have won this award after competing with therapeutic and mass market companies, who had higher potential market valuations. We thank Keiretsu and its membership for this honor.
Monitor Mask gave a well-received podium presentation on March 27, 2018 at Life Science Innovation Northwest, where we were featured as the life science company with the most investors this fiscal year from WINGS, The Washington Medical Technology Angels. Seattle, WA: June 03, 2014 - Seattle based Monitor Mask Inc., has obtained US Food and Drug Administration 510(k) premarket notification clearance for the M1 Capnography Mask.
The M1 Capnography Mask is a disposable oxygen face mask designed to monitor patient breathing by directly interfacing with a sidestream capnograph. Capnography, or exhaled CO2 monitoring, is increasingly recognized as a safety enhancing modality for patients undergoing procedural sedation and for certain high risk hospitalized populations. With the M1 Capnography Mask, Monitor Mask seeks to facilitate the use of capnography and promote patient safety throughout healthcare.
The December 2013 print edition of Outpatient Surgery Magazine listed the Monitor Mask M1 Capnography Mask as a "Cool, New Product" in their "Innovative Ways to Keep Patients Safe" column.
